The DC18SE has some of the same features as the DC18RA such as comprehensive charge status lights, cooling fan, and diagnostic lights. Since the electrical source for this charger is a 12V outlet, the charge time for Makita's 18V (3.0Ah) Lithium-Ion battery is 60 minutes. While this may seem high, please remember that automotive Ni-Cd/MH chargers take 90 minutes or more to charge an 18V (3.0Ah) Ni-MH battery.
